Our Journey

Our Church

Pastor's George and Angie Gebran along with his family planted this church from Liberty Fellowship Logan City, under the oversight of Pastor Steve Penny.

After much prayer and preparation the first Sunday Service was held on the 10th February 1991 at the Victoria Point Sports Centre, Link Road.

We had 150 people attend for the opening ceremony that morning and most of the congregation supported us from Liberty. That evening service had around 16 people attending who became the foundational members of Redlands Fellowship.

Within 6 months the church grew to around 50 regulars, enough that our premises (a small room upstairs in the centre) became too small. So we moved to the Victoria Point State School, just around the corner and into a double classroom demountable.

We stayed there for a few years until the meeting place became so small that in 1993 Redlands Fellowship became a registered Assemblies of God Church.

In 1995 Redlands Fellowship formed a Company, (Redlands Fellowship Property Limited by guarantee.)

In 1997 Redlands Fellowship purchased 8 1/2 acres in Beveridge Road, Thornlands, for the purpose of building large facilities to accommodate the growth.

In 1997 Ps George was being challenged by the Holy Spirit to build a strong foundational church "where every member becomes a minister".

On Palm Sunday, 2005, we finished the building and had our first service in our own building. The Church continues to grow and multiply as the Lord adds.

At the beginning of 2009 the Redlands Fellowship Church started the legal requirement to change it's name to Redland City Church this change was completed and made public in May 2009, and launched in June 2009.

We believe that Redland City Church under its God-given leadership team will continue to grow, thrive and serve its generation for Jesus.

Today (July 2009) the Church is blessed with an attendance of approximatly 250 to 300 each sunday.
